This program changed my life I can’t lie.. I was there before this last time because I kept messing around and I didn’t care to much about the program, but this last time I came back something clicked while I was there and tbh I couldn’t have done it without any of the staff there, the clients, or the great environment they provide. They typically ask in surveys, “how likely are you to recommend this to a friend” and my answer is YES.. 11/10 if I could help someone prevent going through what I did, I would. And this program is THE BEST place to do that.

I had a great time at MHC SAC! i was able to come off the streets and learn to live like a real person again. The staff really pushed me every day to do better. I think they believed in me more than I believe in myself. They helped me feel at home, but kept me just enough out of my comfort zone to keep improving. Shout out to Sharon and Noelle for being great mentors and always helping me get closer to my needs and goals.

I sent my family member to mental health treatment and stabilization center of San Diego. They have been to multiple facilities in Sacramento and Southern California inthe past. The team and facility was exactly what my family member needed. He was there for 43 days and then transferred to an outpatient. This was the best mental health treatment facility me and my family have dealt with. Not only with stabilizing her psychosis and getting her on the right medications. Then finding an aftercare facility that fit her needs in the area she was looking for. I would highly recommend this facility for those that need help.

I had a friend who was going through a crisis and referred them to this facility. Even though they were reluctant, the staff there (Keith and Noel) made the process great. They were communicative and welcoming and the facility was very nice. My friend told me he is waking up for the first time in the mornings with hope instead dreading the day. Highly recommend to anyone needing mental health treatment and was convenient they were in Roseville because we couldn’t find any other facilities for Placer County.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is residential mental health treatment?
Residential mental health treatment means living at a treatment facility while receiving structured, round-the-clock care. It is designed for adults whose symptoms are too severe for outpatient or day treatment, and it combines therapy, medication management, and skills-building in a supportive environment.
How is residential different from inpatient care?
Inpatient hospitalization is shorter and more acute, focused on immediate crisis stabilization. Residential care allows deeper, sustained work over a period of weeks in a home-like setting, with 24-hour support but a less hospital-like environment.
How long is a residential stay?
A residential stay is often around 30 days, followed by a coordinated step-down to a partial hospitalization program, intensive outpatient program, or outpatient care. The exact length depends on clinical needs and progress.
What conditions do you treat residentially?
Our residential program treats adults with conditions including depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, PTSD, OCD, borderline personality disorder, schizophrenia, and co-occurring substance use, with integrated care when more than one condition is present.
Do you offer detox?
Adults who need medical detox first are connected to a partnering provider before admission to our residential program. Our team can help coordinate that step. Call (916) 527-9606 to discuss.
